I’m feeding a family of 3 on a budget that sometimes feels like its tight for just one of us, so when it comes to meat I’m constantly looking for the best sales/deals I can find. Unfortunately, what’s cheap isn’t always what’s good. I’ve actually had the Chef’s Requested bacon-wrapped filets before, and they were excellent; and my wife liked them, which is huge because she generally isn’t much of a beef person.

Hiyas, you know it always is a struggle for finding affordable GOOD beef/meats. I often buy mine at the meat locker to save money-takes alot of storage space but worth it. I like these Chef requests- youre right- pull 2 or 3 out and youre good to go! I like how the portions are just right-and you know, marinating is a breeze too since they are in individual bags!

My family loves, loves, loves, beef and it is extremely difficult to find good, reasonably priced, and great tasting beef in the stores. This would be a great win to help feed my family.

We have less income and many extra bills (medical, college) to pay nowadays. So, yes, it is for sure a struggle to put meat on the table. In fact, we struggle to have enough food in the house. There is very little money left over after paying all the bills! I have tried Chef’s Requested using their very generous coupons on their site. And we love their products! This would be such a great prize for us to win!!!

Yes, it is a struggle to find quality affordable meat; especially beef. We rarely (pardon the pun) purchase beef; it’s just too expensive to buy weekly unless it’s on sale. We usually have chicken, which I’ll admit, I’m getting tired of. Also, I don’t purchase hamburger meat a lot anymore. It just seems to taste odd; not like I remember it tasting a few years back. I’m not sure if it’s because we’ve moved to a different state, or if the standards just aren’t as high in the store we shop at now.

The past few months have been financially very difficult for our family, so, other than ground beef, I buy beef rarely. When we do have meat, I try to make it into a stew or casserole to make it go further. Thanks for the giveaway!

Yum! Steak sounds good. I hope that I will be the lucky winner this time.

I can usually find a good price on meat at our local grocery store. My problem is I want to purchase antibiotic free meats for my family. My local stores carry that product but it can be pricey. I buy it on sale and stock up. I would love to try the Chef’s Request products.
I am very excited about “The Pioneer Woman Cooks” cookbook included in this giveaway. I love Ree Drummond’s blog. She is so witty and entertaining. She also has a great recipe community website (Tasty Kitchen)that is a great go to place for new recipes. So far I have only made one of Ree’s recipes and it was fabulous. Thanks Givedaddy!

I just read an article in a magazine about the pioneer woman cooks. How neat that you could win her cooking book. Yes it is hard to find a good price on meat with the price of grain for the producers so high. This sounds like a good product and I would give it to my daughter who is a single mom of an eight year old boy, who just lost her job this week due to budget. It would help them I know.

We don’t buy much beef, because we spend more money on quality fish. We have 2 small girls and it is tough to find good deals.
This sounds great. I love bacon wrapped filet!

We rarely eat red meat because of the expense. I do love Costco’s meat department though!
February 22nd, 2010 at 6:59 pm
These look great!
February 22nd, 2010 at 7:51 pm
Its not as hard for me to find cheap meat as it is to find a time when we are all together to cook and eat it! Thanks! @bluenude3
February 22nd, 2010 at 7:54 pm
I feed a lot of people. I usually buy my meat at costco. I would use these for a Wednesday night family meal when everyone comes to dinner. I follow on twitter and tweeted and all that jazz.

Oh yum, count me in please and thanks!

We don’t often purchase steak because we don’t have the money. My dh is unemployed now and I am making all the money. Teachers don’t make much. Just seems too expensive to buy steak when chicken is much cheaper, and you get more. We do love steak sometimes when we find a good deal.

I’m a poor college student so meat is rarely affordable and steak is out of the question. This would be a real treat for me and my roommates.

My hubby would love this!!

Yes, it can be a struggle to find quality, affordable meat. My favorite is from a local store, but quite on the high end, both in terms of quality & price, which I do not buy too frequently. I do buy some meat from Costco, which is a good value for the price. Costco even carries organic ground beef at $4 per lb.; not bad.
